Eastern Oklahoma State College's season came to an end at the region tournament.

The Mountaineers (25-23) were edged Saturday in a 4-3 walk-off loss Connors State College in consolation play on the third day of the NJCAA Region II Tournament at Fuller Ballpark in Woodward.

Eastern earned the right to a rematch with Connors after a 12-3 win against Arkansas Baptist College the day before. The Mountaineers fell to the Cowboys, 8-4, on Thursday before being sent to the consolation bracket.

The Mountaineers were in an early 1-0 hole before taking a 2-1 lead in the top of the second on a two-run error. They were able to tie it after the Cowboys regained the lead, 3-2.

However, two errors, a hit by pitch and a walk contributed Connors to walking it off to end Eastern's season.

Austin Warfel took the loss for the Mountaineers. Red Oak grad Cody Muncy had an RBI in his final game at Eastern, while Reed Shepherd, Chris Herb and Manny Calzado all scored a run each.
