The Southeast District 4-H Officer team applications are available now.

This team will serve from October 2019-October 2020. Officer positions available include President, Vice-President, Secretary, Public Relations Officer, Recreation Leader, Healthy Living Officer and Photographer. Candidates must be enrolled in 4-H, held or holding a local or county officer position, must be 9th-11th grade this fall, must attend State 4-H Roundup in 2020, must be a certified teen volunteer, must attend an officer candidate orientation in September of this year and must complete the application process. The dates the training will be held are September 26 from 5:30-6:30 p.m. and September 30 from 4:30-5:30. Applications are due by September 6, 2019.

The following trainings/events are required for all District Officers:

SE District Leadership Team Training – December 7, 2019, 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Location TBD

SE District Leadership Team Training – March 28, 2020, 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Location TBD

Leadership Team Retreat – June 3-5, 2020 @ Stillwater

State 4-H Roundup July 2020 (dates are not confirmed yet) @ Stillwater

SE District Leadership Conference, TBD (dates are not confirmed)

Other teleconferences and/or face to face meetings may also be planned during the year.

General Responsibilities for all District Officers:

Be available for workshops and programs at the local club, county, district and/or state level.

Represent the 4-H Program by speaking to civic groups, 4-H groups and 4-H volunteers throughout the state.

Assist with District events and activities as needed.

Seek opportunities to recruit 4-H members to participate on the District level.

Plan and conduct the District Rally at Oklahoma 4-H Roundup.

Plan and conduct the District Leadership Conference.

Other duties as assigned.
