NORMAN, Okla. — Oklahoma landed its first commitment for its 2021 class.
Kingfisher junior Bijan Cortes verbally committed to the Sooners on Sunday. He announced his pledge in a tweet.
Rivals.com ranks Cortes, a 6-foot-2 point guard, as the No. 150 prospect in the 2021 class and No. 31 at his position.
The three-star prospect chose OU over offers from North Texas, Oklahoma State, Oral Roberts and TCU.
Cortes is the latest local prospect to commit to the Sooners. He follows in Booker T. Washington senior Trey Phipps' footsteps. The guard signed with the Sooners in November.
