A man is wanted after investigators said he allegedly shot a man and physically assaulted a woman last week.

Andrew Scott Luna, 21, of Canadian, is wanted for two counts of shooting with intent to kill, domestic assault and battery by strangulation, domestic assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, possess firearms after conviction of during probation and possession of firearm after former felony conviction, according to documents filed Monday in Pittsburg County District Court.

A warrant for Luna’s arrest with a $35,000 bond was issued Monday by Pittsburg County Associate District Judge Tim Mills. An additional warrant for an application to accelerate a prior deferred judgment was also signed by Mills with a $25,000 bond.

A probable cause affidavit states that on June 13, Luna allegedly assaulted a woman in the Canadian Shores area before pointing a pistol at a group of people who were trying to help the woman.

When the woman spoke with investigators, she said that the man hit her in the face with a pistol and a closed fist, drug her and forced her into a vehicle and that during the struggle, she heard gunfire before she was dropped off at another residence, the affidavit states.

Multiple witnesses told investigators they saw the alleged incident and said when Luna became aware law enforcement was responding to the area, he ran into the woods, a report states.

In a separate probable cause affidavit prepared June 14, investigators said they were made aware of a shooting that had occurred in the Canadian Shores area after a man was checked into the McAlester Regional Health Center’s emergency room with a gunshot wound to the lower leg.

According to the affidavit, the man’s ankle was shattered and the bullet “completely severed an artery” and the man was flown to Tulsa for further treatment.

Witnesses at the scene of the shooting first told investigators that an unknown man in a dark colored vehicle as it left the area, which was “eventually proven false” by investigators, the affidavit states.

Four witnesses told investigators that they heard a loud noise come from outside a residence and when they went outside, they observed the back glass of a vehicle was busted out, the report states. An argument began between Luna and the shooting victim when the shooting occurred, according to the report.

Documents show Luna is serving deferred sentences for misdemeanor possession of controlled dangerous substance, escape from arrest or detention, and possess firearms after conviction or during probation.
