McAlester Main Street Chocolate Tour from 4-7 p.m. at participating businesses across downtown McAlester and Old Town. Cast Your Vote For McAlester's Favorite Chocolate Stop In The Competitive Tour! 

David Banks book signing at J.J. McAlester Antiques from 4-8 p.m. at 2701 North Main in McAlester. Banks is the author of "Fort Whiskey" and "Gum Town Detective Agency." 

Meet and Greet the Candidates from 6-8 p.m. at REMAX Advantage, 63 N Sixth St. in McAlester. Come meet your candidates for mayor, Ward 3 city councilor and Pittsburg County Sheriff. Come grab something to eat and network.

Saturday

Together Oklahoma: Building Power from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at All Saints Episcopal Church, 352 E. Washington Ave. in McAlester. Join us for brunch and a conversation on how we can build power in our community.

Latimer County Photo Book Launch from 3-5 p.m. at the Latimer County Public Library, 301 W. Ada Ave. in Wilburton. The book is professionally designed and printed with a durable hardback, perfect for display on even the fanciest of coffee tables.

Wilburton Local Stock Show begins at noon at t1201 W. Blair Ave. in Wilburton. We will be selling pies in between each species during the show for a fundraiser. Pot luck meal included for free! Show order is Cattle, sheep, goats, and pigs.

Caring Hands Third Annual Gala from 6-8 p.m. at the McAlester Expo Center, 4500 W. U.S. 270 in McAlester. Make plans to attend our 3rd annual benefit supporting the indigent fund. Formal to semi-form attire.

Second Annual Southeastern Quail Forever Banquet from 6-9 p.m. at the McAlester Elks Lodge, 3100 Elk Dr. in McAlester. By attending you make a difference for habitat conservation and getting our youth outdoors!
