Anita Bussell hopes community members will help McAlester Public Schools principal Kathy Hunt with medical bills.
1 How has Kathy impacted you?
Kathy really helped my grandson when he needed it most. She got him in all the right classes, offered some ways to help, and it made a big difference.
2 How long has Kathy been in education?
Hunt has been an educator for 38 years. She was the principal at McAlester’s Edmond Doyle from 2011 until she became the principal at William Gay Early Childhood Center before this school year.
3 Is there a benefit coming soon?
There’s a Good Eats for a Good Cause at Chili’s in McAlester from 10:45 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Nov. 7. When anyone presents the flyer while ordering, 10% of the ticket will be donated to for Kathy Hunt’s Battle With Cancer.
4 How else can people help?
The McAlester Masonic Lodge #9 is hosting a pie auction at 7 p.m. Nov. 12 at William Gay Early Childhood Center Cafeteria. The proceeds will help Kathy with medical bills and cancer treatments.
5 Why should people help?
Kathy is just an amazing person and really cares about each of her students and helps so may people so I hope people can help her in her battle with cancer.
