If it felt unseasonably cold this morning and early Monday, that’s only natural.
It’s been two days in a row of record lows.
“There’s frost on the roses,” quipped Phyllis Hurlbut, of McAlester.
Although today’s low temperature won’t go into the record books until after 1 a.m. tonight,
the previous record low for McAlester for this date had already been shattered by around 7:20 this morning.
The remaining question for today was not if the previous record low would be broken — but by how much.
McAlester registered a low temperature of 34 degrees at 7:20 this morning, according to the National Weather Service.
