The Eastern Oklahoma State College Agriculture Division is set to host the inaugural Agricultural Hall of Fame Celebration Nov. 9, 2019, as part of the college’s homecoming festivities.
The celebration will be held at the EOSC Goddard Building on the college’s Wilburton campus. The event will include a barbecue dinner, silent and live auctions, and a performance by the Bo Phillips Band. Tickets can be purchased in pairs for $50 at eosc.edu/AgHallofFame.
Ray Rice, of Duncan, Okla., will be the inaugural inductee into the new hall of fame. Rice was an animal science instructor at EOSC from 1984 to 2007. He also coached the livestock judging team to great success.
“We are very excited to start this new tradition of recognizing those who made incredible impacts on the Eastern Agriculture Division,” said Larriann Livingston, dean of the EOSC Agriculture Division. “This event is also a great opportunity for alumni to gather and give back to a program that made a positive difference in their lives.”
Proceeds from the event will contribute to scholarships for agricultural judging teams.
