“Building Healthy Relationships,” an East Central University seminar for counselors and counseling students, is set for Tuesday and Wednesday at the McAlester campus of Eastern Oklahoma State College.
The class will meet on Tuesday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and again on Wednesday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The instructor for the course is Dr. Linda Massey, assistant professor of human resources at ECU.
The course uses curriculum from the Prevention and Relationship Enhancement Program. Students will learn ways to improve communication skills and gain strategies for individual, couple and family therapy.
All materials will be provided.
The course is open to both graduate and undergraduate students. Students will earn one hour of credit in human resources. The cost for the seminar is $143.43 for graduate students and $117.76 for undergraduates. Students not enrolled in other ECU classes this spring semester will also pay an academic records fee of $7.50.

Bobby Logsdon, 69, of Tannehill died Friday in Tulsa. The family will greet relatives and friends 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday at Bishop Funeral Service and Crematory. A funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at Bishop Chapel of Memories. Burial will follow at Tannehill Cemetery.
