The Meg

Flick ‘N’ Float, as part of Movies in the Park, will show “The Meg” at dark July 6 at Jeff Lee Swimming Pool.

McAlester Parks Department Head Gardener Robbie Patton said anyone can come out and float the pool for the movie, which is rated PG-13. It is free to attend, and concessions will be available for the movie.

Eating in the pool is not allowed, but there are designated areas around the pool where movie-goers can eat. Other pool rules apply during the event.

“The Meg” stars Jason Statham as rescue diver Jonas Taylor. Once thought to be extinct, a creature known as the Megalodon attacks a submersible and leaves it stranded at the bottom of the Pacific Ocean with the crew inside. An oceanographer recruits Taylor to rescue the crew and the sea itself from the massive prehistoric shark before time runs out.

The movie will start at dark, around 9 p.m. Jeff Lee is at Third Street and Fillmore Avenue.
