OSBI, police search for Hartshorne man

Robin Holloway

A body found in a wooded area in Haileyville has been identified as a missing man.

Hartshorne Police Chief Jerry Ford said the Oklahoma State Medical Examiner's Office identified the decomposed body found Saturday as that of Robin Holloway — the 27-year-old missing Hartshorne man who was last seen on Aug. 17.

Ford said the medical examiner's office is still working to complete its report and did not identify any signs of trauma.

"We just have to figure out the rest of the story, if there is one," Ford said.

The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation, Pittsburg County Sheriff's Office and local police departments investigated Holloway's disappearance after his family reported him as missing in August.

Holloway's body was discovered Saturday in a wooded area in Haileyville.

Ford said local law enforcement officials found some of Holloway's belongings and the shorts he was wearing when he was last seen around the body — but it was so decomposed that authorities could not determine the identify on the scene.
