Savanna, Canadian and Talihina are all regional bound.
The Oklahoma Secondary School Activities Association released the Class 2A District brackets on Wednesday, and local teams found it if they had a bye into the Feb. 16 district championships, or if they had to earn their way there.
The Bulldogs (15-6) won their fourth game in a row on Tuesday, 61-28, against Haileyville, and need only one game to win the District 4 title at Wilburton. They will either take on Gans or the host Diggers (11-12) from the Feb. 15 game.
Both Savanna and its opponent would advance to the regional tournament at Latta. The winner of the Feb. 16 game would play at 8 p.m. on Feb. 21. The runner up would play at 3 p.m. The same times and days are applicable across the board.
Another Pitt 8 Conference team with a bye into the district championship is the Class 2A-No. 12 Cougars (20-2). They await the winner of Tushka or host Konawa for the District 3 championship. Regardless of what happens, the Cougars will return to Konawa for regional play.
The Class 2A-No. 11 host Golden Tigers (14-4) would face either Silo or Quinton from Feb. 15. The Savages (16-7) saw their seven-game winning streak come to an end on Tuesday in 77-61 loss to Howe.
Talihina, and potentially Quinton, would play at Allen for the regional tournament.
Another team which would have to earn its way to the regional round is Hartshorne. The Miners (13-6) have a chance to win a district title on their home floor if they can beat Haworth Feb. 15 and then Rattan the next night. Hartshorne can also capture a regional championship at home, too.
