Muskogee man indicted after McAlester police investigation

McALESTER — A Muskogee man was indicted recently on federal drug charges after a joint-agency investigation which included work done by the McAlester Police Department.

Hur Lee Brown, 38, is accused of possessing methamphetamine with the intent to distribute.

“The charges arose from an investigation by the District 18 District Attorney’s Drug Task Force, the McAlester Police Department, the Muskogee Police Department, the Muskogee County Sheriff’s Department and the Drug Enforcement Agency.

If convicted, Brown is facing up to 30 years in federal prison and up to $1 million in fines.

Assistant United States Attorney Kyle Waters is prosecuting the case.
