McAlester woman injured in car wreck

McALESTER — A McAlester woman was injured in a car wreck early Saturday evening in Rogers County.

Nikki Harper, 30, of McAlester, was driving a 2008 Ford van southbound at about 7:15 p.m. Saturday on U.S. Highway 169 near 156th Street in Rogers County, according to an Oklahoma Highway Patrol report. Her van hit a slick spot on the road and spun 180 degrees before being struck by a Chevy pickup truck.

The driver of the pickup truck, Scott Link, 40, of Odessa, Texas, was treated at the scene for head injuries. His passenger, Dawnia Lewis, 35, of Nowata, was admitted to St. John Hospital in Owasso with a leg injury and was listed in stable condition.

Harper was admitted to St. John Hospital in Owasso with head injuries. The hospital would not release information regarding Harper’s current condition.
