VP debate: Share your thoughts with the GOP

McALESTER — A community forum is being hosted by the Oklahoma Republic Party in McAlester and at other sites before, during and after Friday’s vice presidential debate.

The 2012 Vice President Debate Community Forum is also set to take place in Claremore, Muskogee and Durant and begins at 7 p.m.

According to Lonnie Lu Anderson, the event is set at the auditorium of Eastern Oklahoma State College’s McAlester campus and will include two panelists along with Pam Pollard as moderator. Pollard is vice chair of the Oklahoma Republican Party.

According to Anderson, the event is open to anyone, including Democrats, Republicans and independents. She said college, vo-tech and high school students are encouraged to participate.

The format includes recording audience responses to forum questions, and audience feedback during commercial breaks of the vice presidential debate. Also planned are questions after the nationally televised event is over.

Responses are to be published by the Oklahoma GOP on its website.
