Okla. motorcyclist dies after collision with deer

McALESTER — CHICKASHA, Okla. (AP) — A motorcyclist is dead after colliding with a deer on a rural road in Grady County.

Officials say 52-year-old Mark Alan Gosnell hit the animal shortly before 7 p.m. Saturday on a county road.

Gosnell was eastbound on County Road 1520 when the deer moved into his path from the south. Gosnell, who wasn’t wearing a helmet, was thrown from the bike. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
