5 Things to Know in Oklahoma for Tuesday

OKLAHOMA CITY — Here are five things you should know about what's happening in Oklahoma.

Performance Reviews-Public Safety

Oklahoma's legislative budget writers are rolling up their sleeves as they prepare to question state agency heads about their performance during the past year and funding needs for the next. Subcommittees of the powerful House Appropriations and Budget Committee begin meeting Tuesday with the heads of state agencies.

Smoking Ban

Gov. Mary Fallin signed an executive order this week banning smoking on all state property and in state vehicles. The order gives agencies six months to comply with the new policy.

Senate Republicans-2012 Agenda

Republican senators reveal their agenda for the coming legislative session, which began Monday.

Hydraulic Fracturing

The University of Tulsa is hosting a point/counterpoint debate between two geoscientists on the controversial topic of hydraulic fracturing.

Iowa St-Oklahoma St

Iowa State goes for its fourth straight win Tuesday night when it visits Oklahoma State in the rematch of a game won by the Cyclones last month on Scott Christopherson's banked-in 3-pointer at the buzzer.
