OKLAHOMA CITY — State health officials report that the number of deaths and hospitalizations because of the flu are down in Oklahoma thus far in 2012.

The State Department of Human Services reports there have been two deaths and 114 other cases of people hospitalized due to the flu through March 3 — the latest date the information is available.

Confirmed flu cases have been reported in 36 of Oklahoma’s 77 counties with 32 cases in Oklahoma County and 25 in Tulsa County. The two deaths occurred in mid-February in Sequoyah and McClain counties.
