Oklahoma coach Bob Stoops will have brother, defensive coordinator Mike Stoops, back on the sidelines against Texas for the first time since 2003.
Mike Stoops is clearly happy to once again be part of the OU-Texas game.
"There's so many things that are unique about it. Just the history of the two teams, and then playing in a historic landmark like the Cotton Bowl is very unique," he said. "There's a lot of special feelings that go into the
game. It's a neat venue. It's one of the best in college football just because of where it's at and splitting everything in half. We look forward to it every year. I think that's why you come to Oklahoma, to play in this game."
Bob Stoops, however, there's no added emotion to having his brother back on the coaching staff.
"I like riding shotgun with him into any game. I don't put any different spin on this one that I didn't last week or the week before it. Mike and I have been in a lot of games together, playing and coaching. This will be one more," he said.
"We're after it all the time. If you're all-in all the time it's hard to put another cent in," the OU head coach added.
