Knights ground Eagles

By Porky Falcon
Sports Writer

McAlester Christian Academy Knights are once again bringing soccer to the area.

This is the third school year for MCA, only the second year for the soccer program.

The Knights are now 1-1 on the season after there 3-2 win over Liberty Eagles, Saturday afternoon.

“We have not been really able to play all of our games,” Charlotte Maxcey said. “For some reason, Tulsa teams don’t like to play in the rain.”

The Knights were forced to cancel Tuesday’s game against Cookson Hills Christian school. Their next game will be at Sertoma field, Thursday, against Eaglepoint.

The Knights hold practice on Tuesday and Thursday evenings at 8 p.m., on Sertoma field.

“We get some people who show up and play with us sometimes,” Maxcey said. “If you see us out there, come play with us, soccer is a fun sport.”
