Lady Buffs win 7-1 over Demonettes

The McAlester Lady Buffs defeated the Crowder Demonettes 7-1, Tuesday evening at the Bud Hale Softball Complex.

The 11-4 Buffs’ scored a run in the second inning, three runs in the third and three in the fifth inning, extending their lead to 7-0.

Buffs pitcher Taylor Dewberry struckout sixteen batters and allowed one hit to lead the Lady Buffs win over the Demonettes.

The Demonettes’ Brittiany Smith belted a single shot homerun in the bottom of the seventh inning to give the Demonettes their only score of the evening, the Buffs led 7-1.

The Demonettes are scheduled to play in the Pitt 8 tournament scheduled to start Thursday, 10:30 a.m., at the Southeastern softball complex, depending on weather.

The Lady Buffs travel to Tulsa Friday, to compete in the Bishop Kelley tournament starting at 4 p.m.
