McALESTER —

Starting a savings plan for your child’s college education can be intimidating. That’s why Eastern Oklahoma State College’s GEAR UP program recently sponsored a series of “College Savings Plan Night” events throughout the grant’s cohort school territory to help answer questions and provide information on how to get started. Area bank representatives partnered with Eastern’s GEAR UP staff to provide information to parents of eighth and ninth grade students about college expenses and how to save.
