Two seniors were recognized as Students of the Month for September by members of the Wilburton Kiwanis Club. The students were special guests during the club’s Wednesday, September 23 meeting held in the Student Life Center on the campus of Eastern Oklahoma State College.
Emily Enis is the daughter of Paul and LaDonna Enis. She attends Wilburton High School where she is a member of FCS, Spanish club, vocal music, and speech and drama. She has received superior ratings on solos at District vocal contests and in ensembles at District and State vocal contests.
Enis is a member of North Fork Baptist Church in Eufaula. She is a volunteer in the nursery, children’s church teacher, AWANA teacher and has served on various mission trips.
Her hobbies include playing volleyball, soccer, and frisbee with her youth group. She also enjoys singing, shopping, and going to MLB, MLS, and University of Arkansas games. She plans to attend Eastern Oklahoma State College and then transfer to the University of Arkansas-Ft. Smith pursuing a degree in elementary education.
Caleb Vinson is the son of Stan and Sheila Vinson. He attends Wilburton High School where he is a member of the speech club, Spanish club, FBLA, the Digger band, academic team, baseball team, and National Honor Society. He has served as student council representative, speech club secretary and was named U.S. Achievement Academy Student of Excellence in English and to Who’s Who Among American High School Students. He was selected as a delegate to Boy’s State and has received numerous awards including the Masonic Lodge Student of Today Award and Kiwanis Leadership Award.
Vinson is a member of Center Point Baptist Church. He enjoys playing video games, watching sports, and hanging out with his friends. He plans to attend Eastern Oklahoma State College majoring in English and Journalism.
