Pruitt takes on new duties at Savanna High

Ashley Pruitt, the new family and consumer sciences education instructor at Savanna High School, participated in a four-day New Teacher Academy held July 21-24 in Stillwater. Teachers attended sessions on management systems, program planning, new developments in educational technology, and creating a positive and safe learning environment.

New Teacher Academy activities are designed to introduce new and returning teachers to the CareerTech system and provide them with the fundamentals they need for their teaching career.



Hill named to Dean’s List

Julie Michelle Hill has been named to the Spring 2008 Dean’s List at Evangel University.

Full time students who have earned a grade point average of 3.6 or higher are eligible to be on the dean’s list.

Hill received her Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Media with an emphasis in Film in May 2008. Her honors included Magna Cum Laude, Who’s Who Among Students in American Universitities, and she was bestowed Leadership Fellows for completing requirements for the Leadership Scholars program.

That award was given for expanding leadership skills through coursework, volunteer service and accountability.

Hill is the daughter of Kathy Hill and the late Roger Hill. She is the granddaughter of Emma Lou Hill and the late Carl Hill. She is the granddaughter of the Evelyn (Trahern) Maidic.
