Dotson attends seminar

From submitted reports

Edi Dotson, daughter of Patrick and Maryellen Dotson, represented McAlester High School at the 2008 HOBY seminar that was held at Oklahoma State University June 6-9.

The Hugh O’Brian Youth Leadership Seminars are held in each state and focus on leadership and community service. Each school can send one outstanding student who is going to be a junior to the seminar.

Dotson said she enjoyed attending the sessions and meeting other students. She hopes to be a part of the HOBY organization next summer as a junior facilitator or a teacher’s assistant.
