Poms to host tourney

The McAlester Varsity Pom Squad will host their 14th annual golf tournament fundraiser at Arrowhead Golf Course on Sept. 6.

The tournament will be divided into two flights, a.m. and p.m. Lunch and refreshments will be provided for each golfer. Donations for hole sponsors are being accepted.

Riverside Autoplex has donated a 2008 Dodge Ram 1500 pickup truck for a Hole in One.

The squad placed first at pom camp in Springfield, MO in July and have already qualified to compete at the UDA Pom/Dance Nationals at Disneyworld in Orlando in January. Money raised from the golf tournament goes toward the trip.
