Man faces sentence revocation

McALESTER — A McAlester man who was given a total 14-year suspended sentence for two charges is now facing an application to revoke.

Darryl Bickham Jr., 30, appeared in front of Special District Judge Tim Mills at the Pittsburg Courthouse on Thursday afternoon after an application to revoke was submitted by Shantal Jackson, a probation officer, and Dwayne Howell, a team leader.

Bickham was sentenced to a suspended four years in 2013 for burglary in the second degree, a felony, and to a 10-year suspended sentence later that year for domestic abuse, assault and battery, a felony.    

The application states that Bickham “failed to report to the probation and parole office after being discharged from the inpatient treatment program.”

As part of getting his sentenced suspended, he was supposed to spend one year in an in-patient rehab center. On Dec. 12, he discharged himself from Ray’s House Inc. in Muskogee without reporting to a probation officer and he did it again on Feb. 19, according to allegations in a court document.

Bickham is currently free, and will have to report to court at a later date.
