McALESTER — A Sallisaw man was recently sentenced to 27 years, with the last 20 years suspended, after pleading guilty to two counts of lewd molestation.

Anthony Green, 43, was originally charged in July in Pittsburg County District Court with two counts of lewd molestation to a child younger than 12 years of age.

On Thursday (Dec. 6), Green pleaded guiltyto molesting two 8-year-old children. He was fined $730 and ordered to serve a minimum of 85 percent of his sentence.

According to court records, Green inappropriately touched the two young girls on June 22.

Pittsburg County Deputy Jeremy Kennon watched the two young girls during a forensic interview with a PC Care employee. “I observed both children state that (Green) had touched them inappropriately,” Kennon states in a police affidavit.

Another child, who was present at the time of the molestation, told police that she witnessed the abuse and had even told Green to stop, the affidavit states.
