McALESTER — The following felony and misdemeanor cases were decided in Pittsburg County District Court Aug. 15 - Aug. 22. Dispositions include dismissed cases, suspended and deferred sentences and sentences from trials and plea bargains. Listings do not include all court costs.

Felony cases

• Grayson B. Smedley, 25, McAlester, pleaded no contest Aug. 19 to assault and battery upon a police officer, public intoxication, obstructing an officer and two counts of domestic abuse — assault and battery. He was fined $690, ordered to complete 52 weeks of domestic abuse counseling, ordered to complete 90 days of in-patient treatment and received a four-year suspended sentence.

• James L. Maddox, 20, McAlester, pleaded guilty Aug. 19 to a reduced charge of possession of a controlled dangerous substance with the intent to distribute. He was fined $650 and received a three-year suspended sentence.

• Coyt M. Herandy, 23, McAlester, pleaded guilty Aug. 19 to a charge of second degree burglary. He was fined $350 and received a seven-year suspended sentence.

• Shenia L. Mick, 20, McAlester, pleaded guilty Aug. 19 to charges of possession of a controlled substance in the presence of a minor or within 1,000 feet of a school or park and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. She was fined and received a seven-year suspended sentence.

• Austin J. Lardi, 24, McAlester, pleaded no contest Aug. 19 to a charge of knowingly concealing stolen property. He was fined $300 and received a five-year suspended sentence.

• Shannon L. Smith, 30, McAlester, pleaded guilty Aug. 19 to charges of driving a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol and failure to dim headlights. She was fined $1,800, ordered to complete DUI school and received a deferred sentence of five years.

• Michael D. Beshear, 26, Krebs, pleaded guilty Aug. 19 to charges of possession of a controlled substance, marijuana, and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. He was fined $980 and received deferred sentence of three years.

• Tiffany K. Markland, 23, McAlester, pleaded guilty Aug. 19 to charges of possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine, and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. She was fined $855 and received a deferred sentence of five years.
