McALESTER — The following felony and misdemeanor cases were decided in Pittsburg County District Court Aug. 1- 9. Dispositions include dismissed cases, suspended and deferred sentences and sentences from trials and plea bargains. Listings do not include all court costs.

Felony cases

• Marcus Mapes, 29, Krebs, pleaded guilty Aug. 2 to a charge of first degree rape by instrumentation. He was fined and sentenced to 20 years incarceration, with 12 years suspended.

• Christopher L. Horn, 23, Eufaula, pleaded no contest Aug. 5 to a charge of aggravated assault and battery. He was fined $250, ordered to pay restitution, ordered to complete anger management courses and received a deferred sentence of five years.

• James D. Robertson, 20, Stigler, pleaded no contest Aug. 5 to a charge of aggravated assault and battery. He was fined $250, ordered to pay $3,324 in restitution, ordered to complete anger management courses and received a deferred sentence of five years.

• Timothy C.G. Danel, 22, Hartshorne, pleaded guilty Aug. 5 to charges of leaving the scene of an accident involving injury, driving a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol, reckless driving and driving with a revoked license. He was fined $1,470, ordered to complete DUI school and received a deferred sentence of five years.

• Mark D. Brewer, 33, Savanna, pleaded guilty Aug. 5 to charges of driving a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol, driving a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol — aggravated, carrying a firearm while under the influence and driving without a driver’s license. He was fined $3,000, ordered to complete DUI school and sentenced to five years, with three years suspended.

• Jessica K. Tucker, 32, Richardson, Texas, pleaded guilty Aug. 5 to charges of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and leaving the scene of an accident involving injury. She was fined $350 and received a 10-year suspended sentence. A charge of assault and battery was dismissed.

• Luke A. Homer, 31, McAlester, pleaded guilty Aug. 5 to charges of possession of controlled substances, methamphetamine and marijuana; felon in possession of a firearm, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia and driving a defective vehicle. He was fined and received seven-year suspended sentence.

• Beau W.E. Kester, 31, Oklahoma City, pleaded guilty Aug. 5 to charges of driving a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol, driving left of center and failure to carry insurance or a security verification form. He was fined $2,510, with $500 suspended, ordered to complete DUI school and received a five-year suspended sentence.

• Michael L. Ketchum, 36, McAlester, pleaded guilty Aug. 5 to charges of endeavoring to manufacture a controlled dangerous substance, possession of a police radio scanner during the commission of a felony, grand larceny, possession of a vehicle with an altered VIN number and possession of stolen property. He was fined $1,550 and sentenced to 10 years incarceration.

• Morgan K. Buffington, 27, McAlester, pleaded no contest Aug. 5 to a charge of child abuse by injury. He was fined $550 and received a four-year suspended sentence.

• Leslie A.M. Nail, 28, McAlester, pleaded guilty Aug. 5 to a charge of possession of a controlled substance. She was fined $800 and received a five-year suspended sentence. A charge of destroying evidence was dismissed.

• A charge of aggravated assault and battery was dismissed on Aug. 5 for Corey L. Bicknell, 21, of McAlester.

Misdemeanor cases

• Linda Ashby, 47, Indianola, pleaded guilty Aug. 3 to a charge of possession of a controlled substance. She was fined $285 and received a deferred sentence of one year.

• Andrew Edwards, 21, Scipio, pleaded guilty Aug. 3 to a charge of driving with a license canceled, suspended or revoked. He was fined $100.

• Lisa R. Leflore, 47, Kiowa, pleaded guilty Aug. 3 to a charge of public intoxication. She was fined $80.

• Sheryl L. Crabtree, 40, Haileyville, pleaded no contest Aug. 4 to a charge of driving a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol. She was fined $385, ordered to complete DUI school and received a deferred sentence of one year.

• Zaid M. Alshakhs, 26, Lafayette, La., pleaded guilty Aug. 4 to a charge of driving without a driver’s license. He was fined $80 and received a deferred sentence of 60 days.

• James M. Davis, 42, Krebs, pleaded guilty Aug. 4 to a charge of domestic abuse in the presence of a minor. He was fined $200, ordered to complete 52 weeks of domestic abuse counseling and sentenced to one year incarceration.

• Bobby G. Nichols Jr., 21, Krebs, pleaded guilty Aug. 4 to a charge of driving a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol. He was fined, ordered to complete DUI school and received a one-year suspended sentence.

• Jeremy D. Smedley, 19, McAlester, pleaded guilty Aug. 4 to a charge of public intoxication. He was fined $80.

• A charge of transporting an opened container of beer was dismissed Aug. 4 for Frankie L. Oss, 47, Tulsa.

• Michael W. Maisano, 44, Krebs, pleaded no contest Aug. 5 to a charge of transporting an opened container of beer. He was fined $180.

• A charge of obtaining cash or merchandise by bogus check or false pretenses was dismissed Aug. 5 for Victoria Goertzen, 41, of Tuttle.

• A charge of domestic abuse assault and battery was dismissed Aug. 5 for Slade B. Smith, 37, of McAlester.

• Rebecca Frankum, 21, McAlester, pleaded no contest Aug. 8 to a charge of driving with a suspended license. He was fined $230.

• William C. Robertson, 19, McAlester, pleaded guilty Aug. 8 to a charge of transporting an opened container of beer. He was fined $80.

• Robert S. Thompson, 27, Rosenberg, Texas, pleaded guilty Aug. 8 to charges of public intoxication and failure to pay turnpike toll. He was fined $190.

• Rick A. Roberts, 43, McAlester, pleaded guilty Aug. 8 to a charge of public intoxication. He was fined $80.

• Jeffery L. Davis, 55, Fort Smith, Ark., pleaded guilty Aug. 8 to a charge of public intoxication. He was fined $80.

• Roger D. Wood, 52, McAlester, pleaded guilty Aug. 9 to a charge of driving with a suspended license. He was fined $130 and received a deferred sentence of one year.

• A charge of driver’s license to be carried was dismissed Aug. 9 for Joyce A. Celaya, 54, McAlester.

New felony cases

The following new felony cases were filed in Pittsburg County District Court Aug. 3-10.

• On Aug. 3, Bobby J. Harris, 29, of Wardville, was charged with unauthorized use of a vehicle and transporting an opened container of beer.

• On Aug. 4, Mauro R. Medrano, 39, of McAlester, was charged with trafficking in illegal drugs.

• On Aug. 4, Erica D. Ford, 26, of McAlester, was charged with possession of a controlled substance — marijuana — in the presence of a minor, possession of a controlled dangerous substance — codeine derivative — in the presence of a minor and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.

• On Aug. 5, Terry Ford, 26, was charged with possession of a substance used as a precursor to manufacture methamphetamine.

• On Aug. 5, Eldon Conner, 28, of McAlester, was charged with possession of a controlled substance in the presence of a minor, maintaining a place for keeping or selling controlled substances, child endangerment and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.

• On Aug. 5, Jonathan A. Conner, 26, of McAlester, was charged with possession of a controlled substance in the presence of a minor, maintaining a place for keeping or selling controlled substances, child endangerment and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.

• On Aug. 5, Melissa Conner, 24, of McAlester, was charged with possession of a controlled substance in the presence of a minor, maintaining a place for keeping or selling controlled substances and child endangerment.

• On Aug. 5, Jessica D. Conner, 32, of McAlester, was charged with possession of a controlled substance in the presence of a minor, maintaining a place for keeping or selling controlled substances, child endangerment and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.

• On Aug. 5, Katherine A. Harrison, 57, of McAlester, was charged with intimidating and/or threatening a state’s witness.

• On Aug. 5, Kathy J. Bryant, 31, of McAlester, was charged with third degree arson, malicious injury to property under $1,000 and domestic abuse — assault and battery.

• On Aug. 8, William M. Ranallo, 48, of McAlester, was charged with child abuse by injury.

• On Aug. 8, Frederick C. Martin, 63, of Krebs, was charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.

• On Aug. 8, Anthony A. Pierson Jr., 23, of Hartford, Ark., was charged with aggravated assault and battery.

• On Aug. 8, James D. Lawson, 64, of McAlester, was charged with driving a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol, driving with a revoked license and transporting an open bottle or container of liquor.

• On Aug. 9, Bobby D. Penner Jr., 38, of Blanchard, was charged with possession of a controlled substance and driving with a suspended or revoked license.

• On Aug. 10, Thomas W. Aumiller Jr., 32, Kiowa, was charged with two counts of larceny of an automobile, driving with a suspended license and transporting an opened container of beer.

• On Aug. 10, Randi J. Powell, 18, Kiowa, was charged with larceny of an automobile.
