Wal-Mart manager charged with falsely obtaining money

OKLAHOMA CITY — A manager at the Wal-Mart at 432 S. George Nigh Expressway has been charged with obtaining cash under false pretense, a felony.

Dierbourn Mutch, 32, of Krebs, is alleged to have obtained $45,755 by writing 96 checks to the cash office. Mutch can face up to 10 years in prison and a fine up to $5,000 if convicted.

Mutch was arrested Tuesday and stood before Special District Judge Timothy Mills on Wednesday. With shackles around her ankles and wrists, she told Mills that she understood the charges.

Mills said there were crediable references that ensured the court that she would not flee, so he set her bond at $5,000 and asked her not to let down her friends and family by not showing up at her next court date on June 13.

Brecken A. Wagner, of Wagner Law, was present during the hearings and while admitting that he had not been retained to be her lawyer yet, provided her counsel throughout the proceedings. He had no comment afterwards.
