McALESTER — A Tulsa man was recently accused of bringing contraband into the Jackie Brannon Correctional Center in McAlester.

Henry Bruce Horn, 34, of Tulsa, was charged Tuesday in Pittsburg County District Court with one felony count of bringing contraband into a penal institution and one misdemeanor count of bringing contraband into a penal institution.

According to court records, Horn allegedly parked his vehicle Tuesday on U.S. Highway 270 and walked toward JBCC. Two officers from JBCC located Horn’s vehicle, and then later located Horn walking on West Jackson Avenue, a police affidavit states.

“Horn told JBCC officers that someone (paid) him $750 to drop off some cell phones and tobacco,” the affidavit states.

Horn was arrested and is in custody at the Pittsburg County jail in lieu of a $50,000 bond. He was unavailable for comment at presstime.

If convicted, he is facing up to 20 years in prison. He is due back in court Dec. 28 at 9 a.m. to face charges.
