McALESTER — New felony cases

The following felony cases were filed Jan. 3-10 in Pittsburg County District Court.

Shelly Jean Ballard, 34, of Quinton, was charged Jan. 10 with possession of controlled dangerous substance, three counts of misdemeanor possession of controlled dangerous substance and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.

Kyle Lee Higgins, 30, of Quinton, was charged Jan. 10 with two counts of possession of controlled dangerous substance, two counts of misdemeanor possession of controlled dangerous substance and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.

Krista Leigh Miller, 33, of McAlester, was charged Jan. 10 with conspiracy to utter forged instrument and uttering forged instrument.

Kyle Wade Mitchell, 21, of Wilburton, was charged Jan. 10 with falsely personate another to create liability.

Colten W. Powell, 24, of McAlester, was charged Jan. 10 with conspiracy to utter forged instrument and misdemeanor embezzlement and petit larceny.

Steven Kyle Mick, 43, of Hartshorne, was charged Jan. 9 with driving a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol.

Raymond Lee Holt, 71, of Hartshorne, was charged Jan. 8 with knowingly concealing stolen property.

Brian Edward Peoples, 26, of Crowder, was charged Jan. 8 with domestic assault with a dangerous weapon and misdemeanor domestic abuse assault and battery, and domestic assault and battery against a pregnant woman.

Colby V. Crawley, 20, of McAlester, was charged Jan. 7 with possession of a controlled dangerous substance and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.

Malcolm Daniel Downum, 38, was charged Jan. 7 with third-offense larceny of merchandise from a retailer and misdemeanor trespassing after being forbidden.

Daniel Ray Johnson, 31, of McAlester, was charged Jan. 7 with possession of a controlled drug with intent to distribute and within 1,000 feet of public housing, possession of a controlled dangerous substance, and misdemeanor possession of a controlled dangerous substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Johnson was also charged Jan. 7 with possession of firearms after former conviction of a felony.

Joshua James Maxey, 28, of McAlester, was charged Jan. 7 with larceny of an automobile and knowingly concealing stolen property.

Erik Riley Bonebreak, 26, of McAlester, was charged Jan. 6 with driving a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol, battery/assault and battery on a police officer and misdemeanor leaving the scene of an accident involving damage.

Kayla Ann Cripps, 18, of Krebs, was charged Jan. 6 with domestic assault and battery resulting in great bodily harm.

Nolan Eades, 35, of Jackie Brannon Correctional Center, was charged Jan. 6 with possession of contraband, a cellular phone, by an inmate.

Anthony Dean Epps, 43, of McAlester, was charged Jan. 6 with possession of a controlled dangerous substance, possession of a firearm after a former felony conviction and misdemeanor actual physical control of a vehicle while under the influence, possession of drug paraphernalia and transporting an open container of beer.

Jaron Levi Adams, 28, of Hartshorne, was charged Jan. 3 with first-degree burglary and conspiracy to commit burglary.

James Wilburn Carter, 53, of Hartshorne, was charged Jan. 3 with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, first-degree burglary and conspiracy to commit burglary.

Jared Robert Faulkner, 26, of Hartshorne, was charged Jan. 3 with possession of a firearm after a former felony conviction and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.

Christopher Wayne French, 28, of Hartshorne, was charged Jan. 3 with battery/assault and battery on a police officer and misdemeanor driving with a canceled, suspended or revoked license, escape from arrest or detention, resisting an officer and obstructing an officer.

Sandra Tavara Guzman, 25, of Tulsa, was charged Jan. 3 with possession of a controlled dangerous substance.

Rodney McClendon, 48, of Hartshorne, was charged Jan. 3 with first-degree burglary and conspiracy to commit burglary.

Samantha Jo Norton, 18, of McAlester, was charged Jan. 3 with injuring a public building.

Joshua Andrew Peckio, 18, of McAlester, was charged Jan. 3 with four counts of first-degree rape.



Felony dispositions

The following felony cases were decided Jan. 2-9 in Pittsburg County District Court. Listings do not include all court costs and fees.

Jeremy Joe Blackburn, 30, of McAlester, pleaded guilty Jan. 9 to possession of a controlled dangerous substance and misdemeanor larceny of merchandise from a retailer. Judgment and sentencing were deferred for 10 years on the felony and for one year on the misdemeanor, to be served concurrently with sentencing in a separate case, and he was fined $5,100, with all but $600 suspended.

Also on Jan. 9, Blackburn pleaded guilty to endeavoring to manufacture controlled dangerous substance and misdemeanor possession of controlled dangerous substance. Judgment and sentencing were deferred for 10 years on the felony and one year on the misdemeanor, to be served concurrently with sentencing in a separate case, and he was fined $50,100, with all but $1,100 suspended

Christopher Wayne French, 28, of Hartshorne, pleaded guilty Jan. 9 to battery/assault and battery on a police officer, and misdemeanor driving with a license canceled, suspended or revoked, escape from arrest or detention, and obstructing an officer. A five-year sentence was suspended on the felony, and one year sentence was suspended on each misdemeanor, to be served concurrently, and he was fined $1,000. Restitution in the case was reserved and he was ordered to serve 40 hours of community service. Dismissed was a charge of resisting an officer.

Crystal Roseann Nester, 28, of McAlester, pleaded no contest Jan. 9 to possession of a controlled dangerous substance, and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia and failure to maintain security. Judgment and sentencing were deferred for five years on the felony and for one year on the paraphernalia charge, to be served concurrently, and she was fined $5,150, with all but $650 suspended.

A charge of delivery of a controlled dangerous substance was dismissed Jan. 9 for Andrew Wayne Whitacre, 29, of McAlester.

A charge of child abuse by injury was dismissed Jan. 7 for Jetty Wayne Barnes, 35, of McAlester. The case was refiled as a misdemeanor, according to court records.

Sarah Elizabeth Soelter, 31, of McAlester, pleaded no contest Jan. 7 to perjury and false claims against state. Judgment and sentencing were deferred for three years and she was fined $200.

Cody Mitchell Parham, 22, of McAlester, pleaded guilty Jan. 3 to knowingly concealing stolen property and a five-year sentence was suspended, to be served concurrently with sentencing in a separate case. Restitution was reserved.

Sonya Smith, 44, of Krebs, pleaded guilty Jan. 3 to passing two or more bogus checks together for more than $500. Judgment and sentencing were deferred for five years, she was fined $50 and was ordered to pay $2,183 in restitution.

Tanya Jenkins, 44, of Coalgate, pleaded no contest Jan. 2 to driving a motor vehicle while under the influence of drugs. Judgment and sentencing were deferred for five years and she was fined $250.
