Two more people settled their criminal meth-lab cases recently at the local courthouse.
Lonnie Shane Bailey, 31, of Wilburton, pleaded no contest Dec. 13 in Pittsburg County District Court to a charge of conspiracy to manufacture methamphetamine. He was fined $671.42 and sentencing was deferred for five years.
The same charge was dismissed Dec. 13 on a motion filed by the District 18 District Attorney’s Office for Belinda Gail Wilson, 30, of Wilburton.
Wilson and Lonnie Bailey were charged May 10 in Pittsburg County District Court along with co-defendants:
• Starlin Wesley Barlow, 45, of McAlester;
• Donnie Lane Bailey, 31, of McAlester;
• Chelsea Renea Samuels, 24, of Krebs;
• Marina Leigh Bailey, 41, of McAlester; and
• Steven Edward Storey, 38, of McAlester.
According to court records, District 18 Narcotics Task Force agents executed a search warrant at the McAlester North 12th Street home and found numerous items associated with the manufacturing of methamphetamine.
Seven people were arrested and charged with conspiracy to manufacture methamphetamine.
On May 18, Marina Bailey pleaded guilty to an amended possession of a controlled dangerous substance charge and she received a seven-year suspended sentence. The conspiracy to manufacture charge was dismissed.
Donnie Bailey and Samuels pleaded guilty June 26 to an amended charge of conspiracy to possess methamphetamine. They were fined $680 each and judgment and sentencing was deferred for both Bailey and Samuels.
On July 20, Storey pleaded guilty. He was ordered to complete District 18 Drug Court. Upon successful completion of drug court, the case will be dismissed. However, if he does not successfully complete drug court, he will be sentenced to serve 10 years in the custody of the Oklahoma Department of Corrections.
Barlow is due back in court Dec. 28 at 9 a.m. to face charges.
