Deputies on duty for Pittsburg County emergencies

McALESTER — Deputies are patrolling Pittsburg County areas during the cell outage, according to Sheriff Joel Kerns.

“I have called in my all my deputies to patrol areas for those who may need assistance during this time,” Kerns said.

That’s because those without a landline cannot call 911 until cell service is restored.

The following areas will have a deputy patrolling the area.

Arpellar, Ashland, Bache,Blanco, Blocker, Crowder,Euland, Lake Eufaula,Crowder, Indianola, Lake McAlester, Long Town and Tannehill.

 In addition Kerns said he will have a deputy patrolling the south end of Pittsburg County.

In case of emergency county residents with a landline can call 911 or the Sheriff  at 918 423-5858.
