McALESTER — Felonies

The following felony cases were decided in Pittsburg County District Court July 8 - 14. Dispositions include dismissed cases, suspended and deferred sentences from trials and plea bargains. Listings do not include any court costs assessed.

• Leslie Ray Upchurch, 21, McAlester, pleaded guilty on July 9 for conspiracy to deliver methamphetamine, and possession of a controlled substance. She was sentenced to 14 years, seven suspended. Sentencing is to run concurrently with sentencing in another case. She was fined $1,000 for each offense.

• Joseph Daniel, 27, McAlester, pleaded guilty on July 2 to distribution of a controlled substance. He was sentenced to  10 years, suspended, to run concurrently with sentencing in another case. He was also fined $250.

• Daniel also pleaded guilty on July 12 to possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine and was sentenced to 10 years, suspended, to run concurrently with sentencing in two other cases. He was also fined $250.

• Daniel was also charged with burglary in the second degree on July 12. Sentence was suspended for seven years and is to run concurrently with other sentencing. He was fined $250.

• Roger Wade Turnbow, 45, McAlester, pleaded no contest on July 8 to robbery with a dangerous weapon. He was sentenced to five years, all suspended, to run consecutively with sentencing in another case.

• Brandon Wayne Bond, 20, Canadian, pleaded guilty on July 9 to driving a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol, failure to pay taxes due to state, and failure to carry insurance verification/ security form. Judgment and sentencing were deferred five years for driving while under the influence of alcohol, and he was fined $1,000. Failure to carry insurance verification/ security form was dismissed. He is to undergo 100 hours of community service, and 28 days in-patient treatment.

• Danielle Renee Sharrow, 20, address unknown,  pleaded guilty on July 9 to distribution of a controlled substance. Judgment and sentencing were deferred five years and she was fined $250.

• Ashley Marie Hobbs, 25, address unknown, pleaded guilty on July 9 to distribution of a controlled substance. Judgment and sentencing were deferred five years and she was fined $500.

• James David Mann, 19, Savanna, pleaded guilty on July 9 to possession of controlled substance, and the misdemeanor unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. Judgment and sentencing were deferred three years for each offense, to run concurrently. He was also fined $100 for each offense.
