PITTSBURG COUNTY DISTRICT COURT LOGS

McALESTER — The following felony and misdemeanor cases were decided in Pittsburg County District Court April 23 - 30.

Dispositions include dismissed cases, suspended and deferred sentences and sentences from trials and plea bargains.

Listings do not include all court costs.

Felony cases

• Brandon Ray Willis, 41, McAlester, was previously ordered to complete drug court for charges of possession of a controlled dangerous substance (methamphetamine and marijuana), unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, resisting an officer and consuming an intoxicating beverage in public. On April 26 he was removed from drug court and sentenced to 10 years in the Oklahoma Department of Corrections.

• Samantha L. York, 30, Krebs, pleaded guilty April 27 to an application to accelerate a deferred sentence for a charge of distribution of a controlled drug. She was ordered to complete drug court. Upon successful completion of drug court, the case will be dismissed. If she does not successfully complete drug court, she will received a 10-year sentence.

• Kenneth R. Deal, 32, McAlester, pleaded guilty April 27 to an application to revoke a suspended sentence for a conviction of charges of possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. He was sentenced to 21 days in jail and ordered to complete a drug treatment program with the remainder of the sentence suspended.

• Jeremiah P. Rivera, 34, McAlester, pleaded guilty April 23 to a charge of first degree burglary. He was fined and received a 20-year suspended sentence. A charge of assault with a dangerous weapon was dismissed.

• Marvin lee Shewmake, 19, McAlester, pleaded guilty April 27 to a charge of false declaration of ownership in pawn. He was fined and received a five-year suspended sentence.

• Amber N. Stidham, 26, Porum, pleaded guilty April 30 to a charge of aggravated assault and battery. She was fined and received a five-year suspended sentence.

• Gregory Don Harrison, 18, McAlester, pleaded no contest April 27 to a charge of knowingly concealing stolen property. He was fined and sentencing was deferred for three years. A charge of petit larceny was dismissed.

• Bobby D. Justice Jr., 26, McAlester, pleaded guilty April 27 to a charge of possession of a controlled dangerous substance (methamphetamine). He was fined and sentencing was deferred for seven years. A charge of unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia was dismissed.

• Ambreia D. Chaney, 21, Hartshorne, pleaded no contest April 27 to charges of driving a motor vehicle while under the influence of drugs and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. She was fined, ordered to complete DUI school and sentencing was deferred for two years. Charges of possession of a controlled dangerous substance (Oxycodone and Dextroam), possession of a controlled dangerous substance (Clonazepam) and possession of a controlled dangerous substance (marijuana) were dismissed.

• Juan M. Carbriales Aranda, 26, McAlester, pleaded no contest April 24 to charges of possession of a controlled dangerous substance (methamphetamine) and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. He was fined and sentencing was deferred for five years.

• A charge of child abuse by injury was dismissed April 24 for Patricia E. Staton, 24, of Stuart.

• A charge of aggravated assault and battery was dismissed April 25 for Michael J. George, 25, of McAlester.

• A charge of domestic abuse assault and battery was dismissed April 26 for Jerry A. Holland, 42, of McAlester.
