McALESTER —

The following felony and misdemeanor cases were decided in Pittsburg County District Court March 15 - 22. Dispositions include dismissed cases, suspended and deferred sentences and sentences from trials and plea bargains. Listings do not include all court costs.

Felony

• Wanda F. Bumphus, 43, McAlester, pleaded no contest March 17 to a charge of possession of a controlled substance. She was fined $150 and received a 10-year sentence, with six years suspended.

• Thomas D. Johnson, 47, McAlester, pleaded guilty March 22 to charges of possession of a controlled substance, marijuana, and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. He was fined $300 and received a one-year suspended sentence. A charge of actual physical control of a vehicle while under the influence was dismissed.

• Marvin L. Shewmake, 21, McAlester, pleaded guilty on March 22 to a charge of knowingly concealing stolen property. He was fined $225 and received a five-year suspended sentence. Charges of possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of a controlled substance with the intent to distribute were dismissed.

Misdemeanor

• Norman Tiger, 51, Tulsa, pleaded guilty March 16 to a charge of public intoxication. He was fined $50.

• Gerald D. Sennett, 40, McAlester, pleaded guilty March 22 to a charge of malicious injury to property. He was fined $30 and received a one-year suspended sentence.

• George A. Doctor, Jr., 35, Quinton, pleaded guilty March 22 to charges of obstructing an officer and public intoxication. He was fined $210 and received a one-year suspended sentence. Charges of domestic abuse — assault and battery — and trespassing after being forbidden were dismissed.

• Randy S. Beagles, 45, McAlester, pleaded guilty March 22 to a charge of driving a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol. He was fined $375 and received a one-year suspended sentence. He was also ordered to complete DUI school. A charge of transporting an opened container of beer was dismissed.

• Damon W. Cohen, 20, McAlester, pleaded guilty March 22 to charges of malicious injury to property and public intoxication. He was fined $150 and received a one-year suspended sentence.

• Christopher D. Haney, 33, McAlester, pleaded no contest March 17 to a charge of domestic abuse — assault and battery. He was fined $35 and received a one-year suspended sentence. He was also ordered to complete 52 weeks of domestic abuse counseling.

• Stephanie R. Scott, 43, Hartshorne, pleaded guilty March 22 to charges of operating a motor vehicle in a manner not reasonable and proper, failure to have insurance and driving with a revoked license. She was fined $90.

• A charge of obtaining cash or merchandise by bogus check, false pretenses, was dismissed March 22 for Aric L. Griffeth, 26, of Wilburton.

• A charge of obtaining cash or merchandise by bogus check, false pretenses, was dismissed March 15 for Christopher Gentry, 45, of Spiro.

• A charge of obtaining cash or merchandise by bogus check, false pretenses, was dismissed March 15 for Lorra K. Stiles, 38, of Kiowa.

• A charge of obtaining cash or merchandise by bogus check, false pretenses, was dismissed March 15 for Raymond Henderson, 55, of Wilburton.

• A charge of obtaining cash or merchandise by bogus check, false pretenses, was dismissed March 15 for Hank Lawson, of Caddo.

• A charge of obtaining cash or merchandise by bogus check, false pretenses, was dismissed March 22 for April L. Semeski, 35, of McAlester.

• A charge of domestic abuse — assault and battery — was dismissed on March 22 for Ashley N. Trammel, 18, of McAlester.

• A charge of domestic abuse — assault and battery — was dismissed on March 16 for Gary M. Myskey, 43, of McAlester.

• A charge of domestic abuse — assault and battery — was dismissed on March 22 for Robert F. Long, 51, of McAlester.

• A charge of domestic abuse — assault and battery — was dismissed on March 22 for Jonny R. Johnson, 51, of Pittsburg.

• A charge of domestic abuse — assault and battery — was dismissed on March 22 for Travis A. Johnson, 22, of Pittsburg.

• A charge of domestic abuse — assault and battery in the presence of a minor — was dismissed on March 22 for Andrea C. Reyes, 21, of McAlester.

• A charge of domestic abuse — assault and battery — was dismissed on March 22 for Juan C. Martin, 52, of McAlester.

• A charge of fishing without a license was dismissed on March 16 for Evan L. Boren, 50, of Noble.

• Charges of domestic abuse — assault and battery — and two counts of threatening to perform an act of violence were dismissed on March 22 for Rena Chacko, 33, of McAlester.
