No one was injured during a Christmas morning house fire in Savanna, officials said.
The fire on J Street in Savanna was reported just after 1 a.m. Wednesday, according to Savanna Fire Chief Don Capp.
Capp said 10 firefighters and four fire engines responded to the morning blaze which was contained at about 3 a.m.
He said the mobile home owned by Alan Crawley was “completely involved” by the time firefighters arrived on the scene.
He said the two occupants of the home were standing outside at the time when the firefighters arrived.
The fire is not under investigation and the cause of the fire appeared to be a hot oil in deep fryer, according to Capp.
No estimate of damage was reported according to Capp who called the fire a “total loss.”
The Red Cross was contacted and assistance was given to the occupants of the home, according to Lynn Edwards executive director Southeastern Oklahoma Chapter American Red Cross, Lynn Edwards.
“We will continue to follow up with them to help them find a new place to live,” Edwards said.
