Investigators are asking for help searching for a 30-year-old man last seen at a Eufaula motel in July, officials say.
Tommy Raymond Eastep, 30, of Blanchard, was last seen July 7 at the Best Western Hotel in Eufaula, according to Gary Parkinson OSBI public information officer.
Parkinson said investigators are concerned because although Eastep was last seen in July in Eufaula, his 2003 Silver Chevy 4X4 pickup was found in Sept. 29. north of Holdenville.
“We are concerned because his truck was found in a completely different location than where he was last seen,” Parkinson said on Tuesday.
Eastep’s truck was recovered in rural Hughes County, near the intersection of State Highway 48 and State Highway 9.
Parkinson said the pickup was abandoned and there were no signs as to how it ended up at that location.
Meanwhile on Tuesday Tom Eastep Sr., father of the missing man, said his son comes from a very close family.
He said at the time he disappeared, his son still lived at home and he was always in contact with his parents.
“We just have more questions than answers,” Tom Eastep Sr. said.
He said family is offering a reward in the case.
Eastep is 6’1 has brown hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a white tee shirt, blue jeans, and sandals. He has pierced ears, wears a silver chain bracelet on his right wrist and a black tattoo on his right arm with a fleur-de-lis symbol.
Anyone with information concerning the whereabouts of Eastep should contact the Hughes County Sheriff’s office at 405 379-2203 or the OSBI at 1-800-522-8017.
