The following felony cases were decided in Pittsburg County District Court Oct. 6-16. Dispositions include dismissed cases, suspended and deferred sentences, and sentences from trials and plea bargains. Listings do not include any court costs assessed.
• Otis Cecil Webb IV, 34, of Jackie Brannon Correctional Center, pleaded guilty Oct. 16 to escape from penal institution and was sentenced to three years, with another three suspended, to be served consecutive to his current sentence. The charge was filed with the prior conviction enhancement for a 2007 charge of possession of a stolen vehicle, for which he was sentenced to six years, and another 2007 charge of drug possession and unauthorized use of a vehicle, for which a five-year sentence was suspended.
• Lindsay E. Wyatt, 27, of Hartshorne, pleaded guilty Oct. 16 to attempting to obtain controlled substance by forgery and judgment and sentencing were deferred for three years. Wyatt was also find $250, with the remainder of a $1,000 fine suspended.
• Daniel Ian Gilbert, 39, of McAlester, pleaded no contest Oct. 9 to manufacture of controlled dangerous substance, methamphetamine, possession of controlled drug with intent to distribute, unlawful use of police radio, and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. He was sentenced to 10 years, with another 10 suspended. The charge was filed with the prior conviction enhancement for a 2000 misdemeanor charge of marijuana possession that resulted in a one-year suspended sentence.
• James Howard Brown, 47, of Tulsa, pleaded guilty Oct. 9 to possession of controlled dangerous substance, marijuana and Alprazolam. He was sentenced to five years, to be served concurrent with sentencing in another case. He was also fined $500 and a charge of possession of a firearm after a former felony conviction was dismissed. He was given credit for time served. Brown was charged with the prior conviction enhancement for seven prior convictions involving drugs, property theft, forgery and drunk driving between 1995 and 2009. The seven convictions resulted in sentences totaling nine years in prison and nine years of suspended sentencing or probation.
• Leann Sharon Lightle, 38, of McAlester, pleaded guilty Oct. 9 to possession of contraband drugs in jail, and misdemeanor possession of controlled substance, Lortab, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Judgment and sentencing were deferred for five years and she was fined $200.
• Wesley W. Bumpers, 30, of Stigler, pleaded guilty Oct. 6 to misdemeanor leaving scene of property damage accident, reckless operation of vessel and failure to report accident involving vessel to authorities. A one-year sentence was suspended and he was fined $300, and he was ordered to pay restitution for property damages and medical expenses. The leaving scene charge was reduced from a felony alleging he left the scene of an accident involving injury.
The following misdemeanor cases were decided in Pittsburg County District Court Oct. 9-20. Dispositions include dismissed cases, suspended and deferred sentences, and sentences from trials and plea bargains. Listings do not include any court costs assessed.
• Rocky Gardner, 31, of Mustang, pleaded no contest. Oct. 20 to assault and battery and a 90-day sentence was suspended, to be served concurrent with sentencing in another case. Restitution in the case was reserved.
• Gardner also pleaded no contest Oct. 20 to a bogus check charge and a one-year sentence was suspended, to be served concurrent with sentencing in another case. He was also ordered to pay $303.79 in restitution.
• Carlie Renae Hall, 29, of rural Stuart, pleaded guilty Oct. 20 to a bogus check charge and a one-year sentence was suspended, to be served concurrent with sentencing in another case.
• Hall also pleaded guilty Oct. 20 to unauthorized use of a debit card and a one-year sentence was suspended, to be served concurrent with sentencing in another case.
• Blake Alexander Harrison, 22, of Haileyville, pleaded guilty Oct. 20 to driving without a driver’s license and failure to carry insurance or a security verification form. A 30-day sentence was suspended and he was fined $300.
• Elaina Lyn Sparks, 40, of McAlester, was given suspended sentences of one year and six months on Oct. 20 for charges of driving a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol and transporting an open bottle or container of liquor. She was also fined $600 and was ordered to obtain an evaluation for drug and alcohol abuse, and to attend DUI school and a Victim’s Impact Panel.
• Jonathan Kyle Johnson, 28, of McAlester, pleaded guilty Oct. 20 to possession of controlled dangerous substance, marijuana, and misdemeanor aggravated driving while under the influence of alcohol, possession of drug paraphernalia, failure to stop at stop sign, driving left of center and outraging public decency. A one-year sentence was suspended and he was fined $380. He was also ordered to attend DUI school and a Victim’s Impact Panel, and to obtain a drug and alcohol abuse evaluation.
• Marcus Wade Bell, 22, of rural Hartshorne, pleaded no contest Oct. 20 to transporting loaded firearm in motor vehicle and he was fined $200.
• Sandra Fortier, 50, of Alderson, pleaded guilty Oct. 20 to driving with license suspended and a one-year sentence was suspended, to be served concurrent with sentencing in another case. She was also fined $300.
• Fortier also pleaded guilty Oct. 20 to driving with license suspended and a one-year sentence was suspended, to be served concurrent with sentencing in another case. She was fined $300.
• Clint Lee James pleaded guilty Oct. 20 to driving with license revoked and he was fined $250.
• Kristie Sue Guiou, 23, of Hartshorne, pleaded guilty Oct. 20 to driving with license suspended and speeding and a one-year sentence was suspended. She was also fined $200 on the driving charge and was ordered to pay the scheduled fine for speeding.
• Cynthia Diana Martinez, 41, of Krebs, was fined $10 Oct. 20 on a charge of public intoxication.
• Richard Michael Snow, 29, of Krebs, pleaded no contest Oct. 20 to obstructing officer and a one-year sentence was suspended. He was also fined $100.
• Kimberly Barlow, 50, of rural McAlester, pleaded guilty Oct. 20 to driving a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol and driving with license suspended. A one-year sentence was suspended and she was fined $500. She was also ordered to obtain a drug and alcohol abuse evaluation, and to attend DUI school and a Victim’s Impact Panel.
• Dustin D. Wilson, 37, of Hartshorne, pleaded guilty Oct. 20 to aggravated driving a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol and a one-year sentence was suspended. He was also fined $200 and was ordered to serve 40 hours of community service within 90 days, attend a Victim’s Impact Panel and DUI school, and to obtain a drug and alcohol abuse evaluation.
• Kevin Paul Cormier, 40, of rural McAlester, pleaded guilty Oct. 20 to driving with license suspended and failure to pay taxes due to state. A one-year sentence was suspended and he was fined $150.
• Matthew Thomas Brashears, 22, of Seminole, pleaded guilty Oct. 20 to obstructing officer, public intoxication and throwing litter from vehicle. A one-year sentence was suspended and he was ordered to pay the scheduled fine for littering, and was fined $110 on the obstruction and intoxication charges.
• Christopher Kendall, 19, of McAlester, pleaded guilty Oct. 20 to driving under the influence by a person under 21, driving with license revoked and reckless driving. A one-year sentence was suspended and he was fined $400. He was also ordered to attend DUI school and a Victim’s Impact Panel, and to obtain a drug and alcohol abuse evaluation.
• Bradley Don Tabers, 33, of McAlester, pleaded guilty Oct. 20 to malicious injury to property valued at under $2,500 and public intoxication and a one-year sentence was suspended. He was also fined $110 and restitution in the case was reserved.
• Allen Lee Adams, 25, of Wilburton, pleaded guilty Oct. 20 to driving with license revoked and operating a motorcycle without a license and endorsement. A one-year sentence was suspended and he was fined $200.
• Nikina Williams, 24, of McAlester, pleaded guilty Oct. 20 to resisting an officer and public intoxication. A one-year sentence was suspended and Williams was fined $110.
• Nicholas Randall West, 24, of McAlester, pleaded guilty Oct. 20 to obstructing officer and public intoxication and a six-month sentence was suspended. He was also fined $110.
• Joshua Keith Brown, 31, of rural Eufaula, pleaded guilty Oct. 20 to domestic abuse assault and battery and public intoxication. A one-year sentence was suspended and he was fined $260. He was also ordered to obtain 52 weeks of domestic abuse counseling.
• Gary Don Hicks, Sr., 42, of Crowder, pleaded guilty Oct. 20 to obstructing officer and a one-year sentence was suspended, to be served concurrent with another sentence. He was also fined $100.
• Kellie Michelle Key, 41, of McAlester, pleaded no contest Oct. 20 to driving with license suspended and a six-month sentence was suspended. He was also fined $200.
• Thomas Lynn Hanson, pleaded guilty Oct. 20 to malicious injury to property valued at under $2,500. A one-year sentence was suspended and he was fined $200. Restitution in the case was reserved.
• Linda K. Harrell, 55, of McAlester, pleaded guilty Oct. 20 to driving with license suspended. Judgment and sentencing were deferred for one year and she was fined $100.
• Janet Lee Walling, 69, of McAlester, pleaded guilty Oct. 20 to driving a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol and transporting an open bottle or container of liquor. Judgment and sentencing were deferred for two years and she was fined $125. Restitution in the case was reserved.
• Christopher Steven Parker, 22, of Porum, pleaded guilty Oct. 20 to trespassing after being forbidden and judgment and sentencing were deferred for one year, concurrent with sentencing in another case. He was also fined $100.
• Parker also pleaded guilty Oct. 20 to larceny of merchandise from retailer and judgment and sentencing were deferred for one year, to be served concurrent with sentencing in another case. He was also fined $100.
• Matthew Cole Pruegert, 27, of Okay, pleaded guilty Oct. 20 to driving a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol and judgment and sentencing were deferred for two years. He was also fined $500.
• Chancy Dean Lambert, 21, of Canadian, pleaded guilty Oct. 20 to simple driving under the influence and judgment and sentencing were deferred or three years. He was also fined $500, and his charge was reduced from aggravated driving a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol. Lambert was also ordered to attend DUI school and a Victim’s Impact Panel, and to seek a drug and alcohol abuse evaluation.
• Dwayne Edward Ivy, 40, of Little Rock, Ark., pleaded guilty Oct. 20 to assault and battery. Judgment and sentencing were deferred for one year and he was fined $100. A charge of domestic abuse assault and battery was dismissed.
• Cory Thomas Ford, 23, of rural Hartshorne, pleaded guilty Oct. 20 to driving with license suspended and speeding. Judgment and sentencing were deferred for three months and he was fined $100. A charge of failure to carry insurance or a security verification form was dismissed.
• Robert Spellman, 31, of Odessa, Texas, pleaded guilty Oct. 20 to driving a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol and judgment and sentencing were deferred for one year. He was also fined $250, and was ordered to obtain a drug and alcohol evaluation and to attend DUI school and a Victim’s Impact Panel.
• Kimi Lea Escoe, 41, of Hartshorne, pleaded guilty Oct. 20 to driving with license suspended. Judgment and sentencing were deferred for one year and she was fined $200.
• David C. Robinson, 26, of rural Eufaula, pleaded guilty Oct. 20 to driving a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol and outraging public decency. Judgment and sentencing were deferred for one year and he was fined $250. A charge of failure to maintain security was dismissed. He was also ordered to attend DUI school and a Victim’s Impact Panel, and to seek a drug and alcohol abuse evaluation.
• Jayson Ray Knight, 26, of McAlester, pleaded guilty Oct. 20 to driving with license suspended. Judgment and sentencing were deferred for one year and he was fined $200.
• Jennifer Holland, 36, of Eufaula, pleaded guilty Oct. 20 to driving with license suspended and failure to carry insurance or a security verification form. Judgment and sentencing were deferred for one year, with the sentencing ordered served concurrent with sentencing in another case. She was also fined $100.
• Holland also pleaded guilty Oct. 20 to a bogus check charge and judgment and sentencing were deferred for one year, to be served concurrent with sentencing in another case. She was also fined $100 and was ordered to pay $599.39 in restitution.
• Jonathan Thomas Felda, 21, of rural McAlester, pleaded guilty Oct. 20 to possession of controlled substance, marijuana, and judgment and sentencing were deferred for one year. He was also fined $250.
• Skyler Biggs, 18, of rural Stigler, pleaded no contest Oct. 20 to possession of controlled dangerous substance, marijuana, and judgment and sentencing were deferred for one year.
• Katheryn Clark, 18, of rural Stigler, pleaded guilty Oct. 20 to larceny of merchandise from retailer and judgment and sentencing were deferred for one year and she was fined $100.
• Brandy Sue Shannon-Brown, 22, of Canadian, pleaded guilty Oct. 20 to possession of controlled dangerous substance, marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Judgment and sentencing were deferred for one year and she was fined $300.
• Rachel A. Cantrell, 34, of McAlester, pleaded no contest Oct. 20 to larceny of merchandise from a retailer and judgment and sentencing were deferred for six months and she was fined $50.
• Darrell William Thain, 46, of McAlester, pleaded guilty Oct. 20 to driving a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol, and improper left turn. Judgment and sentencing were deferred for one year and he was fined $250 on the DUI charge and was ordered to pay the scheduled fine for the traffic charge. He was also ordered to attend DUI school and a Victim’s Impact Panel, and to seek a drug and alcohol abuse evaluation.
• Daniel Scott Criddle, 36, of Krebs, pleaded no contest Oct. 16 to obstructing officer and public intoxication and a one-year sentence was suspended. He was also fined $110.
• Mary England, 30, of McAlester, pleaded guilty Oct. 15 to driving with license suspended and was fined $150.
• David D. Brown, 49, of Tampa, Fla., pleaded guilty Oct. 15 to driving with license suspended and he was fined $150.
• Reginald L. Houston, 57, of rural Wilburton, pleaded guilty Oct. 13 to taking white tail deer in closed season and he was ordered to pay the scheduled fine.
• Houston also pleaded guilty Oct. 15 to shooting from a public roadway and he was ordered to pay the scheduled fine.
• Houston also pleaded guilty Oct. 15 to hunting with the aid of a motorized vehicle and he was ordered to pay the scheduled fine.
• Devin Wayne Wylie, 22, of rural Quinton, pleaded guilty Oct. 13 to reckless driving and judgment and sentencing were deferred for 90 days. He was also ordered to pay the scheduled fine.
• Justin Matthew Pitchford, 24, of McAlester, pleaded guilty Oct. 9 to malicious injury to property valued at under $2,500 and public intoxication. A one-year sentence was suspended and he was fined $110. Restitution in the case was reserved.
