The following felony cases were decided in Pittsburg County District Court May 22 to June 3. Dispositions include dismissed cases, suspended and deferred sentences, and sentences from trials and plea bargains.

• Michael Dewayne Wilson, 27, of Grand Forks, N.D., pleaded no contest June 3 to omitting to provide for minor child and he was sentenced to four years, to be served concurrent with sentencing in another felony case, and consecutive to sentencing in a third felony case. He was also ordered to pay $12,663.96 in restitution.

• Michael D. Sosa, 21, of Oklahoma City, pleaded guilty May 29 to omitting to provide for minor child and a 10-year sentence was suspended. He was also ordered to pay $19,304 in restitution.

• Austin Lee Allen, 31, of Hartshorne, pleaded no contest May 29 to knowingly concealing stolen property and misdemeanor public intoxication and was sentenced to a year in prison. Charges of failure to register as a sex offender and sex offender living within 2,000 feet of a school or day care were dismissed before sentencing. Allen had been charged with the prior conviction enhancement for a 1999 Hughes County case for two counts of lewd molestation that resulted in a 15-year sentence.

• Douglas Ray Cousins, 42, of McAlester, pleaded guilty May 29 to driving a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol and misdemeanor driving with a revoked license. A five-year sentence was suspended and he was fined $1,000. Dismissed were misdemeanor charges of transporting an opened container of beer, failure to carry insurance or a security verification card and driving left of the center line. He had been charged with the prior conviciton enhancement for a 2001 misdemeanor conviction in Hughes County for driving under the influence of alcohol in which a one-year sentence was suspended.

• Nicholas Lee Adcock, 28, of Quinton, pleaded no contest May 27 to possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine, and assault and battery upon a police officer. A 10-year sentence was suspended following completion of a Department of Corrections Drug Offender Work Camp. The sentencing was ordered served concurrent with sentencing in a separate felony case. Dismissed were misdemeanor charges of escape from arrest or detention and possession of drug paraphernalia.

• In a separate case, Adcock pleaded no contest May 27 to two counts of assault and battery upon a police officer and a five-year sentence was suspended following completion of a DOWC. The sentencing was ordered served concurrent with sentencing in another felony case, and a misdemeanor charge of obstructing an officer was dismissed.

• Kim R. McPhail, 42, of McAlester, pleaded guilty May 22 to taking debit card without consent and a five-year sentence was suspended, to be served concurrent with sentencing in a separate felony case. McPhail was charged with the prior conviction enhancement for a 2006 conviction in Osage County, Kan., for possession of opiates, opium or narcotic drugs and was sentenced to 11 months.



The following misdemeanor cases were decided in Pittsburg County District Court May 26 to June 2. Dispositions include dismissed cases, suspended and deferred sentences, and sentences from trials and plea bargains.

• A charge of obtaining cash or merchandise by bogus check or false pretenses was dismissed June 2 for Pamela L. Wright, of Savanna, on payment of court costs. Court costs and restitution in the case have been paid in full.

• Bryce Anthony Pacheco, 20, of Owasso, pleaded no contest June 2 to reckless driving and he was fined $100.

• Samantha Tubbs, 29, of McAlester, pleaded no contest June 1 to driving with a suspended license and she was fined $50.

• Maria B. Mireles, 31, of Quinton, pleaded guilty June 1 to driving without a driver’s license and she was fined $50.

• Larry Scott Johnson, 38, of Stigler, pleaded no contest June 1 to driving without a driver’s license, failure to maintain security and failure to pay taxes due the state. He was find $350.

• Paul M. Nelson, 48, of McAlester, pleaded guilty June 1 to public intoxication and he was fined.

• Colton Harvey Staples, 19, of McAlester, pleaded guilty June 1 to driving with a suspended license, driving a defective vehicle and failure to carry insurance or a security verification form. He was fined $135.

• Jace Blaine Rice, 25, of Kiowa, pleaded guilty June 1 to driving a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol. A one-year sentence was suspended and he was fined $100 and was ordered to complete DUI School and attend a Victim’s Impact Panel.

• Dalton James Earhart, 21, of McAlester, pleaded no contest May 29 to disturbing the peace, public intoxication and consumption by a person under 21 in a public place. He was sentenced to 30 days each for disturbing the peace and public intoxication, to be served consecutively, and he was fined $400.

• Tommy Allen McCombs, 23, of McAlester, pleaded no contest May 29 to possession of an illegally taken whitetail deer and was ordered to pay the scheduled fine.

• George A. Doctor Jr., 33, of Quinton, pleaded guilty May 29 to public intoxication and a 30-day sentence was suspended.

• A charge of obtaining cash or merchandise by bogus check or false pretenses was dismissed May 28 for Emily E. Susmilch, 22, of Stillwater.

• A charge of driving a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol was dismissed May 28 for Jared Ward Grippando, 21, of Stillwater.

• Dewayne Owen McCarty, 25, of McAlester, pleaded guilty May 28 to driving with a suspended license and he was fined $100.

• Jesse Glenn Duckworth, 21, of McAlester, pleaded guilty May 27 to possession of a controlled substance, marijuana and Clonazepam, and driving a motor vehicle while under the influence of drugs. He was sentenced to a year in prison, to be served concurrent with sentencing in a felony case, and a charge of failure to carry insurance or a security verification form was dismissed.

• Vanessa L. Mackey, 34, of McAlester, pleaded guilty May 27 to obtaining cash or merchandise by bogus check or false pretenses and judgment and sentencing were deferred for one year. She was also ordered to pay $1,069.49 in restitution.

• Robert Leon Mock, 26, of Eufaula, pleaded no contest May 27 to transporting a loaded firearm in a motor vehicle and transporting an opened container of beer. Judgment and sentencing were deferred for six months and he was fined $200.

• Charges of obtaining cash or merchandise by bogus check or false pretenses were dismissed May 27 for:

• A charge of driving without a valid driver’s license was dismissed May 26 for Jeffrey S. Schelby, 32, of Huntington Beach, Calif.

• A charge of domestic abuse assault and battery was dismissed May 26 for Derrek C. Fry, 28, of McAlester.

• A charge of driving without a driver’s license was dismissed May 26 for Jessie Ray Sturges, 40, of Rogers, Ark.

• A charge of driving with a suspended license and failure to carry insurance or a security verification form was dismissed May 26 for Seth A. Weber, 20, of Kiowa.

• Also on May 26, a charge of driving with a suspended license was dismissed for Weber.

• Bobby L. Powell, of McAlester, pleaded guilty May 26 to three counts of obtaining cash or merchandise by bogus check or false pretenses and a one-year sentence was suspended. He was also ordered to pay $1,405.36 in restitution.

• Wallace Williamson Jr., 33, of McAlester, pleaded guilty May 26 to obtaining cash or merchandise by bogus check or false pretenses and a one-year sentence was suspended. He was also ordered to pay $542.90 in restitution.

• Michael David Tohkubbi, 34, of Kiowa, pleaded guilty May 26 to driving a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol and failure to carry insurance or a security verification form. A one-year sentence was suspended, he was fined $50 and he was ordered to complete DUI School and attend a Victim’s Impact Panel.

• Timothy N. Detels, of McAlester, pleaded guilty May 26 to driving with a revoked license and he was fined $100.

• Donald Gene Spencer, 59, of McAlester, pleaded no contest May 26, to driving a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol and driving without a driver’s license. A one-year sentence was suspended, he was fined $300 and he was ordered to complete DUI School and attend a Victim’s Impact Panel.

• Paul Wesley Farmer, 45, of McAlester, pleaded guilty May 26 to driving a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol, escape from arrest or detention, driving while his license is canceled, suspended or revoked, failure to keep to the right, improper tail lamps or tag lamps, and failure to carry insurance or a security verification form. A one-year sentence was suspended and he was fined $150 and ordered to complete DUI School and attend a Victim’s Impact Panel.

• Harland Lee King, 41, of McAlester, pleaded guilty May 26 to driving a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol, obstructing an officer, failure to carry insurance or a security verification form and speeding in a posted zone. A one-year sentence was suspended and he was fined $350 and ordered to complete DUI School and attend a Victim’s Impact Panel.

• James Andrew Virden, 45, of McAlester, pleaded guilty May 26 to public intoxication and he was fined.

• Summer R. Young, 20, of Quinton, pleaded guilty May 26 to malicious injury to property valued and a one-year sentence was suspended, to be served concurrent with sentencing in two separate misdemeanor cases. She was also fined $100 and was ordered to pay $172.78 in restitution.

• Also on May 26, Young pleaded guilty to trespassing and a six-month sentence was suspended, to be served concurrent with sentencing in two other misdemeanor cases.

• Morris J. Sam, 47, of Hartshorne, pleaded guilty May 26 to public intoxication and a 30-day sentence was suspended.

• Michael E. Cutshall, 40, of McAlester, pleaded guilty May 26 to aggravated driving a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol and driving with a revoked license. He was sentenced to 10 days in jail, with the remainder of a one-year sentence suspended. He was also fined $600 and was ordered to serve 50 hours of community service, with another 430 hours suspended, attend a Victim’s Impact Panel and complete DUI School.

• Jordan Kahlid Anderson, 18, of McAlester, pleaded guilty May 26 to possession of a controlled substance, marijuana, and contributing to the delinquency of minors. A one-year sentence was suspended and he was fined $350.

• Bradley Glen Davis, 32, of Quinton, pleaded guilty May 26 to driving with a suspended license and a one-year sentence was suspended and he was fined $100.

• Christopher Washington, 28, of McAlester, pleaded guilty May 26 to driving without a driver’s license and he was fined $50.

• Jeannete Hammer, 47, of Hartshorne, pleaded guilty May 26 to driving with a suspended license and she was fined $100.

• Bonnie L. Nixon, 42, of Porum, pleaded guilty May 26 to driving while her license is suspended she was fined $100.

• Jose Rodriguez, 23, of Blocker, pleaded guilty May 26 to driving without a valid driver’s license and he was fined $50.

• Brandon Vickers, 21, of Oklahoma City, pleaded guilty May 26 to public intoxication and he was fined $10.

• Jimmie Whittle, 64, of Dallas, pleaded no contest May 26 to driving without a valid driver’s license, outraging public decency and speeding in a posted zone. He was fined $150 on the license and decency charges, and he was ordered to pay the scheduled fine for speeding.
