McALESTER —

Eastern Oklahoma State College will celebrate “Mountaineers Forever” during the college’s annual Homecoming week celebration with a variety of activities for alumni, students, their families and the community.

Wilburton Mayor Stephen Brinlee, an Eastern graduate and president of the Eastern Alumni Association, signed a proclamation today declaring Oct. 28 through Nov. 2 as Eastern Homecoming Week. Eastern’s annual Halloween Community Carnival is set for Thursday, Oct. 31 from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Families can enjoy an evening of Halloween festivities including games, prizes, food, candy and Trunk-or-Treat. Children are encouraged to wear their costumes and enter the Boo Parade costume contest. Registration for the Boo Parade begins at 5 p.m. and the contest begins at 5:30 p.m. Pictured seated from left, Wilburton Mayor Stephen Brinlee signs a proclamation declaring Oct. 28 through Nov. 2 as Eastern Homecoming Week.
