McALESTER — The second of four new Choctaw Nation Wellness centers opened Friday, May 23 in Crowder. Atoka has already cut the ribbon on its new center, while Idabel and Broken Bow will hold open houses on Friday, May 30. Choctaw Chief Gary Batton, Assistant Chief Jack Austin Jr. and District 12 Councilman James Frazier helped a large group cut the ribbon in Crowder on Friday, May 23. Chief Gary Batton and Assistant Chief Jack Austin Jr. lead a group including Choctaw Nation Tribal Council and Crowder community members in cutting the ribbon at the new Crowder Wellness center.
