McALESTER — The Lady Mountaineers are ranked No. 21 in the latest NJCAA poll and Head Coach Amber Taylor has led her team to a 14-3 overall record and a 5-1 start in conference play. Several Lady Mountaineers are making an impact in the conference. Sophomore De’Amber Brice of Denton, Texas is currently leading the conference in steals and assists, with 97 and 74 respectively for the season so far. She also ranks second in the conference in field goal percentage (52.9 percent) and total rebounds (194). She is averaging 17.1 points per game, which ranks fourth in the conference. Sophomore Kaya Johnson of Oakland, Calif. is leading the conference in rebounds per game (12.7) and total rebounds (216). Sophomore Jordan Franks of Norman is ranked third in the conference with 163 rebounds, while Sophomore Tangella Landry of Lafayette, La. ranks fourth in the assists category with 63.
