McALESTER — Editor:
Recently our City manager quoted the Constitution in a newspaper article regarding the removal of silhouettes on McAlester street signs. Silhouettes containing a cross were removed.
The Constitution says ... Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof.
How is removing street signs that contain a cross not prohibiting the free exercise of religion?
I urge Christians to flood Mr. Stasiak’s office with phone calls stating your opinion. This is not happening in some far off state, this is happening right here.
