McALESTER — Editor:

This is about the conflict regarding the cross. The signs around town represent symbols of our nation — oil well, cowboys, animals, Indian culture, to pick out the cross is a lack of belief on someone’s part. These symbols represent the history that makes America so strong. Those who believe in the cross have freedom of choice and others choose to disbelieve. Mark 12:17.

We live in a society today that apologizes for doing the right thing — we have decided to go down a path to accommodate the world. Almighty God is the source of all we have. Faith in our creator is the most important thing we have. Without this cross, we have nothing worthy to choose form. We are able to stand together because it is an attack on all of us believe.

If you don’t believe in something, you’ll fall for anything.

Anyone undecided on this issue can reference William Tyler Page’s “The American Creed” for guidance.
