A Stonewall woman died after a rollover wreck near Fittstown Saturday afternoon.
Misty May Wright, 37, Stonewall, was pronounced dead at the scene by Mercy EMS.
The wreck was discovered at 1:21 p.m. by a Pontotoc County sheriff’s deputy who was patrolling County Road 1680.
Oklahoma Highway Patrol Trooper Alan Fortner said Wright was driving a 1992 Chevrolet pickup west on County Road 1680 when she ran off the road to the right and hit a culvert.
The pickup went through a barbed wire fence into a field and rolled an unknown number of times.
Wright was thrown about 80 feet from the vehicle’s point of rest. Based on his investigation, Fortner said Wright was not wearing a seat belt and said the cause of the wreck and Wright’s condition at the time is still under investigation.
Chickasaw Lighthorse police and Ada and Fittstown firefighters also responded.
