Helen Jean (Castleberry) Null,

McALESTER — Helen Jean (Castleberry) Null, 89, of Arpelar, died Saturday, July 6, 2013, at her home.

Visitation will be from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. today at Bishop Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Church of Christ in Stuart with Kelly Benson officiating, assisted by Terry Trivitt. Burial will be at Pryor Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Bishop Funeral Service of McAlester.

Born Sept. 19, 1923, in Stuart, she was the daughter of George F. Castleberry and Lillian E. (Bell) Castleberry. She married Jarome L. Null on Nov. 28, 1943, and they two sons. He preceded her in death on June 12, 1981.

She worked at Komar for 35 years until her retirement in 1987. She was an excellent seamstress and made beautiful quilts for her family and friends.

She was a member of Church of Christ in Stuart for more than 75 years.

Survivors include her two sons, Jerry Null and wife, Carolyn, of Stuart, and Charles Null and wife, Deann, of Ada; four grandchildren, Stacey Null and wife, Stacy, of McAlester, Jeremy Null and Roberta Basile, of McAlester, Gina Foster, of Ada, and Kara Alexander and husband, Kyle, of Ada.

Also, five great-grandchildren, Charlsey and Breanna Foster, and Taylor and Riley Alexander, all of Ada, and Jason Null, Paris, Texas; two stepgreat-grandchildren, Abbie and Anna Painter, of McAlester; two sisters, Wanda Morris and husband, S.T., of Holdenville, and Earlene Upchurch and husband, Gene, of McAlester, and numerous other family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents, and brother, Ray W. Castleberry.

Pallbearers will be her nephews, Ronald West, Stanley Elms, Hershel Kelley, Gordon Null, Sherman Riddle, Larry Wood, Perry Wood, Bruce Wood, Woodley Null, Steven Null and Brian Westfall.

Honorary pallbearers will be Roger Davis, Jimmy Kelley, Lloyd Fields, Haskell Taylor, Rick Kerns and Farrell Cunningham.

    Alyce Yvonne Knight Lerblance was born on November 21, 1923, in Pittsburg, Oklahoma, to Fred C. and Letha Mae Knight.  She was the fourth of seven children born to Fred and Letha Knight.  Alyce grew up in Wilburton and graduated with the class of 1941 and was a graduate of Eastern State A & M in Wilburton.

    Heaven opened its gates for Bette Jo Williams, 84, on Saturday, July 19, 2014, following a brief illness with pancreatic cancer. Bette lived in McAlester, OK, for 60 years. She moved to Edmond, OK, two months ago in order to be closer to her sons and family members. Bette was born on the family farm near Washington, OK, on March 11, 1930.
