Edith Marie (Trammell) Mosley, 69, of Savanna, died Friday, Nov. 29, 2013, at her home.
Family will greet friends Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Chaney Harkins Funeral Home.
A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Chaney’s Memorial Chapel with the Rev. James Crowson officiating. Burial will follow at Savanna Cemetery in Savanna.
Arrangements are under the direction of Chaney Harkins Funeral Home.
She was born Oct. 12, 1944, to Leo and Vera Opal (Baucom) Trammell in McAlester. She grew up in the Frink community and graduated from McAlester High School. She married Dewayne Mosley on Aug. 18, 1961, in Eufaula, and they made Savanna their home. She was a member of the Frink Baptist Church. She enjoyed baking, especially pies, and was affectionately referred to as the “Pie Lady.” She made pies for many organizations, including the Sertoma Club for its annual fundraisers.
She is survived by her husband, Dewayne; daughters, Opal Mosley, of Krebs, Dewana Woodard, and husband, Jeff, of Evans, Ga., Sandra Dunn, and husband, Fred, of Hartshorne, and June Hawthorne, and husband, Collins, of Temple, Texas; grandchildren, Edyta Thomason, Jasmine Thomason, Kaeya Thomason, Garry Sharp, Joshua Woodard, Anthony Woodard, Matthew Woodard, Delilah Rodriguez, Holle Whitfield, Patrice Tharpe and Tisha Tharpe; 10 great-grandchildren; brothers, Bill Trammell, and wife, Bernice, of McAlester, Henry Trammell, and wife, Dianne, of Haileyville, Leo “Corky” Trammell, and wife, Becky, of Burkburnett, Texas; brother-in-law, Jim Roberts of Ashland; brothers- and sisters-in-law, Denver and Georgie Dobson, Allen and Carolyn Mosley, Jim and Hollie Mosley, Edna Mickle, and Billie Rice; and numerous nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Leo Trammell; mother, Vera Opal (Baucom) Trammell; sister, Kay (Welch) Roberts; sister, Vera Lee (Christopher) Jackson; brothers, Darrell “Bo” Trammell and William Andrew Trammell; father- and mother-in-law, George and Virgie Mosley.
Pallbearers will be Opal Mosley, Charles Winningham, Dewana Woodard, Jeff Woodard, Sandra Dunn, Fred Dunn, June Hawthorne, and Collins Hawthorne.
Honorary pallbearers will be Ronnie Crawley, Lucille Croninger, James Baker, Dr. Richard Ingram and Ben Crawley.
